Interior Photography

Today's photo montage is brought to you by the letter "I" as in...investigation.

This past weekend, my sister was visiting a friend in North Carolina, and I had my apartment to myself. Now before you get all hyped up, thinking that these photos are from my apartment, take a moment to think about whether or not I have ever spoken about how cool or awesome my red walls look....anything? That's right. These photos were not taken in my apartment. Rather, they were taken in Lisa's house in Nashville, two weeks ago.

But let us not get ahead of ourselves. Back to me (beacause really, that's what it's all about). While I was home alone this last Friday evening, I took advantage of the quiet and decided to sit at my desk and just play with my computer and some of the programs. I've had my iMac for over a year now, and while I use it daily and enjoy it thoroughly, I've spent less time diving into all the great and sometimes hidden features.

One feature I found was Comic Life. It basically has preset comic pages, that you can then drag and drop photos into. You can create your own pages too, and since the program is really intuitive, you need little to no experience designing pages to get started. And once you're playing around with it, you can have a lot of fun. Text bubbles in all shapes and sizes are available, as are different comic-like fonts, for the casual BLAM or POW your page might need.

I used it to make a montage/collage page of some of the interior photography I did while in Nashville. I didn't think a BLAMMO was applicable, but I'm keeping it in mind for future projects.

Once again, to see a larger version of the photo, just click on the picture and it will take you to a new window so you can check out the detailing in some of the photos.
